But I've not made the commitment that you have about shop-bought socks (I love the nice thick ones that JA sells. Originally tried some as hiking socks but wear them most of the time)peahenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02395503525006623752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3470611340161904184.post-48015855215676579792018-01-09T16:13:34.971+00:002018-01-09T16:13:34.971+00:00I've been knitting gloves lately using lots of...I've been knitting gloves lately using lots of odds and ends of sock yarn. They are not really the sort of thing that a middle aged lady ought to be wearing at all but they are so cheerful! However my big problem is maintaining the same momentum for the second sock: the first sock is quite addictive, but the second doesn't hold the same magic for me. I guess I should just be grateful that we don't have three feet!PixieFoxtrothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15553778693086140328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3470611340161904184.post-88600697684159719572018-01-08T18:11:05.706+00:002018-01-08T18:11:05.706+00:00That's lots of socky goodness!! I have used varied yarns including Tiger, Lidl, Regia, Rico, Sirdar Head over Heels to Opal Play, all listed on my Ravelry page where I sign in as Knellergal.

PixieMumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14717092173188052675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3470611340161904184.post-74384996073790460822018-01-07T21:35:55.937+00:002018-01-07T21:35:55.937+00:00I want 2018 to be my year of hand knitted socks! I do like West Yorkshire Spinners - it isn't the softest but it does wear well - and I do prefer a nice self striping yarn. I've never tried Easy Knits though; I might have to give it a try now! Your sock drawer looks gorgeous. xxVeggieMummyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17467026136649574350noreply@blogger.com
