Sharing birthday goodies

Yes, it's a cake! And very nice it tasted too. All part of my birthday celebrations! I'd love you to have a share of the birthday fun as well. Interested? Then read on!

Earlier this year I asked Anne Hanson if she was able to design some 'slouchy, stay at home, it's cold outside' socks. No problem! So I test knit for her and the result was this..........

I loved them so much that I knit Anne a pair to say thank you!

The pattern has just been released, and it's called 'Helen sock' after yours truly! I feel really honoured! To celebrate, as it's my birthday today, I am going to give away a copy of this pattern to one lucky reader along with a skein of sparkly yarn from the Natural Dye Studio.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is become a follower of my blog (if you're not already) and leave me a message. I'll post world-wide, and the giveaway will stay open for a week until midnight on December 17th. So what are you waiting for?!! Enjoy a piece of cake - there's plenty to share. See you soon! xx

  3. That cake looks yummy! And very seasonal. The socks look fantastic too. It's been snowy here in Oregon, so a stay-at-home pair of socks is just what I need.

  11. I hope you didn't have to make your birthday cake yourself!

They look very comfy socks and looking at the yarn has reminded me that I still haven't used the skein of NDS Sheherazade that hubby bought me for Christmas last year (or it might have been 2011).

  15. Happy belated birthday, love the seasonal cake. How wonderful to have a sock named after you! It was Jenny Flip Flops and her socks that made me move on from the square dish cloths I'd been knitting. I'm completely hooked, no pun intended! Very generous giveaway, count me in.
