The best grey velvety pussycat in the whole world ....

henrycat gets knitted! 017
I'm really sad to have to tell you all that our gorgeous Henrycat was put to sleep this morning. He deteriorated dramatically over the weekend, and although he was due to go to see the vet this evening, Mr JK took him this morning as we were concerned about him. The vet agreed that he wasn't going to improve, so we did the kindest thing we could for him. The house feels very empty.

Dear Helen, I am very sorry for you! I know how hard it is to come home and see no sweet pet. I hope your sadness will fade soon and you can think of Henrycat without tears and remember all the wonderful moments you had with him. :-(
Best wishes, Julia

How very sad but I thought the writing was on the wall. It is great that you were able to let him go peacefully with a minimum of suffering. You have lovely memories.

So sorry to hear this - I don't comment often but felt I wanted to today. My thoughts are with you, it's such a hard time.

Run free at the Bridge pain-free Henrycat, there are lots of friends just waiting to play with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. You don't know me but I cyber-stalk your blog and love your writing. I just had to post my condolences. My mom's lovely dog-cat (she was a dog, thought she was a cat--even tried to nurse some kittens once) is waiting for Henry-cat to cuddle. Much love!

Oh Helen I do feel for you. Henry was such a gorgeous kitty. We had to let Hendry, our own grey cat go last year too so know how he will leave a hole. Hope that your weekend in Blackpool provided some distraction. xxx
