April Pay it Forward giveaway!

Time for another giveaway methinks; just my way of trying to pay forward a little of the tremendous kindness that has been shown to me by yarny folk around the world over the past few months. This month, I've got a ball of West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 ply sock yarn in a pink self-striping colourway that reminds me of cherry blossom. As it's Easter, I'm also including a bag of Cadbury's Mini Eggs (it might not probably won't definitely won't be the exact bag that's in the photo because I will have eaten those, but I promise to replace them!) Also in the goodies are a fun coaster I spotted on my travels and a tin of Burt's Bees Hand Salve to keep your hands in tip top condition for knitting and crocheting!

To be in with a chance of winning, leave me a comment telling me what colours you'd choose if you were creating your own self-striping sock yarn. The giveaway will be open until midnight on April 30th and I'll use a random number generator to pick the winner after that date. Please make sure it's easy for me to contact you by leaving your Ravelry or Instagram name, or leave some other way for me to get in touch. If I haven't heard from the winner within a week, I'll pick another winner. The giveaway is open to all - I'll post anywhere (well, ok perhaps not anywhere, not too sure about the International Space Station!) but you know what I mean! Good luck and may the random number generator be with you! xxx

What a generous giveaway My sock yarn would be deep purples and pinks - just like forest fruits - as these are my favourite colours x

Ooh, that's a tricky one, Duck egg blue and rose pink, I think. I bought mini eggs to make Easter nests and I'm struggling hard not to trough the lot! I'm VeggieMummy on Ravelry too. xx

That yarn is beautiful ❤ If I was making my own yarn I think I might do black, yellow and orange as I've just become a beekeeper, I could make socks to match my bees

I would like to see stripes of light green and brown, or pink and brown together. I really like brown with lighter shades and think they would make interesting socks.

Love your Mini Egg packaging! The ones I buy are just in a purple bag but then I don't really look too much at the bag, too busy eating what's inside the bag.

Honestly, I've yet to meet a self-striping yarn I didn't love. What would appeal most at the moment would be jewel tones of purple, green, and blue. SheilaOKeefe on Rav

I am always drawn to soft greens and creams. Or maybe duck egg, taupe and cream. That being said, I've nothing against soft pinks either! Happy Easter!

I've just bought my first ball of WYS yarn and I'm looking forward to trying it. If I were creating my own self-striping yarn it would be in shades of burnt orange, I'm loving those kinds of colours at the moment.

My favourite colours for a selfstriping yarn would be raspberry red, pistachio and white with the white always in between the two colours: raspberry, white, pistachio, white, raspberry and so on.

If I could design my own self striping yarn I would go for a bright green, white, pale yellow and then purple/blues to match the colours of the spring flowers in the woods at the moment.

Wishing you a Happy Easter

I like the colors of sunset -- dusky blue, hazy purple, maybe some color that reminds us of the fading sun.

I've just started knitting socks, I'm on my third pair and looking around for wool to make my fourth. The yarn I'd love to use would be lots of lovely turquoise and green colours.

I've just started knitting socks - I'm on the rib of my first one! I picked a plain colour to start with but for a stripey pair I'd choose purple & blue.

I'm having a few years of loving shades of purple, so that would be the main colour in my sock yarn. Some shades of pink and blue in there as well, I think. I'm melindaj on Ravelry. Thanks for putting up this little competition.

If I was creating a self striping, I would probably choose an array of pinks and purples
