We went for a walk around the gardens at East Ruston Old Vicarage this afternoon and there was a definite feel of autumn in the air. When I looked through my photos afterwards, pink was the predominant colour. Everywhere I turned, shades of rose, coral, magenta, fuchsia and baby pink were leaping out at me, catching my eye. Take a look and you'll see what I mean!
So why the sudden obsession with pink, you ask? Well, I took a couple of secret projects with me to take photos in the gardens, and they both happen to be pink! Firstly, a pair of socks............
The yarn is String Theory Caper Sock, a gift from my friend Michele. The pattern is my own creation! I have been dabbling with various stitch patterns for some time now, and finally settled on this simple textured one for my first pair of socks. To say I am pleased is a bit of an understatement!
My second secret knit is a cowl ..........
I used a skein of Sunshine Yarns single ply merino which was a gift from another friend, Bobbie. This pattern is also one of my own creations! I made it almost a year ago and never got around to taking any finished photos. I unearthed it this weekend while I was tidying out my wardrobe. I did get one or two odd looks while I was taking photos, but I am pleased with the results! At the moment, both patterns are just jotted down on scraps of paper. Perhaps I should have a go at writing them up properly. What do you reckon? xxx

Ummmm yes, please - I love that sock pattern! I was ordering what one it was! I have one I started in a knitspot sock design class and am embarrassed to say I never got it going.... Too many life happens stuff. Torre
so pretty !
Definitely! Great job, and I love the whimsical photos!
I love your photos, so much fun. Both patterns are really interesting. Be aware that writing up a pattern is a lot more work than you think it is, but it is a fun and interesting challenge.
Fab! Love the photoshoot location :-) xx
These are both lovely, I'm another yes to writing up the pattern. And your photos are amazing - as always!
