I’m trying to enjoy the little things in life, focusing on the positive aspects of each day and it’s amazing what you notice that might otherwise go unnoticed. Here are a few of my little pleasures over the past couple of weeks.
π A clump of snowdrops in the garden π
π Discovering a new yarn dyer π
π Finishing a pair of stripy socks π
π Enjoying Flo's company π
π A vase of sunshine in my kitchenπ
π Finding my missing socks π
π Planning a new sewing project for the summer π
π Sewing another card wallet for my friend's 30th birthday π
π Catching up with Snoopydog and coming home with a pile of gifts π
π Winding some gorgeous yarn ready for casting on at the knitting retreat next week π
Yes, I'm going on a knitting retreat tomorrow until Thursday. It's been organised by Julie at Suffolk Socks and it sounds like it's going to be a wonderful, woolly few days. I've been looking forward to it since I managed to get cancellation last month and hope that it will be the perfect tonic to spend a few days with like-minded people. I will of course try to take lots of photos and tell you all about it when I get home! Hope you have had some little pleasures to enjoy recently too. xxx

I love this post, Helen! So many simple pleasures. They are what get us through. Going to cast on a pair of socks from one of your patterns soon, I need some travel knitting for when I visit my daughter and new grandson. I just have to decide on which one! Have FUN at your retreat!
What a great post; so many lovely pleasures. I love the card wallet you made for your friend's birthday - is that Flo on the fabric?! Have fun at your knitting retreat, I look forward to hearing all about it. xx
A knitting retreat, sounds like a more intense version of your home life as posted, without Flo but with lovely people. Have a great time and come back with lots to show and tell.
