It wouldn’t be Christmas without reading ‘A Christmas Carol’. This copy belonged to my Mum who was an avid reader. I love the cast list at the start of the book and the colour plate illustrations. This one shows Bob Cratchit and his family celebrating together. Can you see the dogs on the mantelpiece? I’ve got one of those from my Auntie’s house. I don’t know what happened to its partner, I only remember there ever being one! xxx

What a beautiful book. I usually read 'A Christmas Carol' in December too. This year, we saw it at the theatre and I'm reading Dickens' 'Christmas Stories' instead. Happy reading! xx
