My lovely friend Jane Crowfoot has recently released a book which contains the pattern for The Fruit Garden blanket. While the pattern is still available as a free download from Stylecraft, this book is an absolute feast for the eyes. Not only does it include the pattern, but there are also crochet charts for all the motifs as well as testimonials from crocheters who have made Janie's blanket and lots more information about what inspired Janie and how she actually designed the blanket. There is also a new colourway for the blanket. There are lots of beautiful images that Janie has had special permission to use from The William Morris Society. The V&A and The National Museums of Scotland. Looking through the book makes me want to find out more about the work of William and May Morris. It is fascinating to see how Janie has used their work to design such a beautiful blanket.

Janie has very generously gifted me two copies of her book - one for me to keep and another to give away. Thank you Janie. So if you'd like to be in with a chance of winning a copy of The Fruit Garden, all you have to do is leave a comment telling me which of the four colourways is your favourite. The giveaway will run until the end of October so there's lots of time to enter. Please leave a way for me to get in touch with you - an Instagram or Ravelry name would be perfect - in case you are the winner. The giveaway is open to everyone as I'm happy to post the prize worldwide. I look forward to seeing which colourway is the most popular! xxx

Hi Helen, I hope you are faring well through your treatment.

I would love to win a copy of what looks to be a fabulous book. I have met Janie a couple of times and she is indeed lovely. I crocheted her Frida Kahlo blanket and it takes pride of place on my sofa. My favourite colourway of the Fruit Garden Blanket is "Love is Enough". Take care, Juanita (@conchitachedzita on instagram)

What a fabulous blanket and a very generous giveaway. I'm with Juanita - the 'Love is Enough' blanket is my favourite too! Happy crocheting. xx PS. I go by the same name on Ravelry!

Oh, I'd love to win a copy so we can add it to our Replanting Australia raffle prizes. (Replanting Australia is a group making Australian themed blanket squares for the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Network to support their work to save the all important Ligurian bees on the island.) May I go in the draw too please? (I'm on Ravelry under "Catdownunder" and there is Facebook Page for Replanting Australia

I like all the color ways so much and it was hard to choose between which one should be my favorite.
But especially the color combination of the Acanthus suddenly made my decision easier. My favorite is the Night and Dusk.

Amazing blanket, but don’t include me in the draw as you know I cannot crochet, I might try to get into a local class when we are back in the uk but I doubt few weeks from my 73 birthday that I shall ever reach that standard. Good luck everyone.

This is such a beautiful blanket! I think Red House is my favourite colourway- I’m a sucker for bright reds. I’m PancakeBatter on Ravelry.

I'm definitely a Red House girl, without a shadow of a doubt, I'd fallen for that one before I read the competition. Joyo on Ravelry
